The "Sanity Check": Why I’m building a different kind of business circle
I was recently asked a question that stopped me in my tracks.
Someone reached out and asked if I could be a "Sanity Check" for her and her friend.
And maybe create a small group of fellow neurodiverse women who understand.
They are both brilliant business owners, both ADHD, and both feeling the sheer, overwhelming "mental-ness" of trying to run a company when your brain has 100 tabs open and your nervous system is screaming Danger! or Squirrel! (Up film reference, sorry).
It was such a specific, honest request. She didn’t ask for a "10k month funnel" or a "6-step scaling strategy."
She asked for a safe space to sit while she stayed sane.
It got me thinking. My website, Mind Tamers, has always been about the "Subconscious Handbrake"—that invisible force that makes business growth feel like a stress test rather than a triumph. But usually, I do that work 1:1.
And while 1:1 is deep and transformative, there is a different kind of magic that happens when you put ten women in a room who are all secretly feeling the same "mental" chaos.
The Problem with "Business as Usual"
Most business masterminds focus on the what. What’s your lead magnet? What’s your conversion rate? Let's create a strategy......
But if your nervous system is in a "freeze" state, or if your ADHD brain is spiralling because you haven't opened your emails in three days, let alone faced the voicemails on your phone....another new strategy is just another stick to beat yourself with.
I’m feeling into a new way of doing this. Not a mastermind, but a Safe Circle.
What I’m Brewing
I’m planning a 6-month pilot group. Max 10 women. Two 90-minute sessions a month.
But here’s the Mind Tamers twist: Strategy is not the guest of honour. Your nervous system is.
We’ll start and end every session with a somatic ritual - a way to actually drop out of the "business noise" and into your body. Because a regulated entrepreneur makes better decisions in 10 minutes than a frazzled one does in 10 hours.
The "Spicy" Factor
I tend to attract "neuro-spicy" women (ADHD, dyslexic, autistic, all of the above, or just beautifully non-linear thinkers). To be honest, I love working with them, but I know that world can be... well, mental. To keep the energy and the transformation deep, I’m starting this as a women-only space. I want a room where you can unmask. Where you can admit you’re struggling with the "boring" admin, answering the phone or the visibility fears - without feeling judged.
I might open a Men’s Circle down the line, but for now, I want to create a container where women can relax the moment they log on.
Want to help me shape this?
I’m not rushing this. I’m sitting with it, feeling the weight of it, and making sure it has the stability to really hold people.
But I’d love a "Sanity Check" from you.
If you were in a room with 9 other women and me twice a month, what is the one "mental" part of your business you’d want to set down first?
Drop me a message or leave a comment. Let’s see what we can tame together.
