What’s Your Why? A Powerful Reminder from the Teachers
It’s that back-to-school time again - not just for students, but for the teachers who show up every day to guide, nurture, and inspire them.
This week, I had the absolute joy of delivering a resilience session to a group of teachers returning to their classrooms. And among all the tools and strategies we explored, one moment stood out above the rest:
We talked about their why.
Why they became teachers.
Why they still do it.
What keeps them going when it’s hard, because let’s be honest, it is hard. teaching is not easy.
And as they shared their stories, it was magical and heart warming.
They spoke of wanting to make a difference…
Of being the support they never had…
Of sparking curiosity…
Of helping kids believe in themselves.
It was beautiful.
And it reminded me of this:
💡 When we reconnect with our why, we reconnect with our power.
Why does this matter to you?
You might not be a teacher, but the same principle applies.
What’s your why?
What lights you up?
What gives your work or your life meaning?
And if you’re not sure right now, that’s okay. It might just be time for a little redirection. A course correction toward something that fills you with light and purpose.
Want help finding your why again?
I’m running a free webinar where we’ll explore just that, reconnecting with purpose, passion, and clarity.

Final thought:
Whether you’re teaching, creating, building, or caring, your why matters.
Come back to it often.
